Ashleigh Sutphen – Public Health Project Coordinator

Ashleigh Sutphen, MPH (she/her/hers) serves as a Public Health Project Coordinator for CityMatCH. She first joined the team in 2019 as a Graduate Project Assistant and recently was awarded her MPH in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Ashleigh also has a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration, which serves as a strong foundation for her interests in macro-level public health, policy, and program administration.

Previously, she served as a Wellness Coordinator for a small non-profit, Buffalo County Community Partners, in Kearney, Nebraska where she gained critical skills in community engagement, volunteer networking, and advancing public health initiatives at the local level. Throughout her graduate studies, her passions for macro-level public health, increasing workforce capacity, and program coordination grew.

Now, as a Project Coordinator, she coordinates the annual Training Course in MCH Epidemiology; supports our leadership training program, CityLeaders; and coordinates the perinatal HIV task force with our Women’s Health Manager. Outside of work, Ashleigh finds joy in locally brewed cups of coffee, reading titles from her “booket” list, playing Sunday Scrabble with her husband, and spending time with her family and closest friends.

Join us for the 2023 CityMatCH Maternal and Child Health Leadership Conference, in New Orleans, LA.
