Chemyeeka Tumblin, MSPH, MMFT joined CityMatCH in 2021 and currently serves as the CityMatCH Membership and Communications Coordinator. Prior to this role, she served as the Nashville Metropolitan Health Department Preconception Strategist.
Chemyeeka attended Georgia Southern University for Undergrad and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with Minors in Chemistry and Psychology. Seeking to be a change-maker and advocate for individuals in the health field, she pursued her Master of Science in Public Health at Meharry Medical College and graduated in 2016. While in this program her desire to assist families and communities in changing generational narratives grew. She continued that journey by graduating from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2019 with her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and began her journey to becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Chemyeeka serves her local community as a Certified Full Spectrum Doula, Life Coach, as well as, Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in Maternal Mental Health. She advocates for families and individuals in creating holistic change to create new healthy generational narratives. As a Show Your Love National ambassador, she continues to advocate for change in reproductive health and educate the next generation on what preconception health care is.
