The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Healthy Schools recently released its 2017 School Health Index (SHI). This self-assessment and planning tool can be used by schools to improve their health and safety policies and programs. It provides schools with an opportunity to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their policies and programs utilized for promoting health and safety.

The Ultimate Car Seat Guide

Safe Kids Worldwide created a new interactive tool, the Ultimate Car Seat Guide, to keep kids safe in cars from when they leave the hospital up until they are eight years-old. This guide was developed with Safe Kids’ road safety partner, the GM Foundation. The guide is designed for all-digital platforms, making it easy to access when on the go, such as when a parent is purchasing a car seat they can utilize the guide to determine the best car seat for their child based on their age and height.

National Child Passenger Safety Week
