A new Prevention Institute report, Sectors Acting for Equity (SAFE) Project: Communities Taking Action to Prevent Domestic Violence in California, recognizes and builds on domestic violence prevention work taking place throughout the state of California and country. It also provides updated research, analysis, and next steps to systematically address this multifaceted problem, including inequities in rates of domestic violence by race, sex, socio-economic status, gender identity, and sexual orientation among other factors. Through the SAFE project, the Prevention Institute is calling together leaders in California to envision and design innovative health equity strategies to prevent domestic violence.
