New Release of CDC Chronic Disease Indicators

The CDC has announced the next release of its Chronic Disease Indicators (CDI) data. The CDIs provide public health agencies and policy makers with access to the most relevant, up-to-date, and uniformly-defined chronic disease surveillance data at the state and selected metropolitan-level. The surveillance also includes data on risk factors that have a significant impact on public health. Information is collected from numerous data sets and divided into 18 topic groups, encompassing of 124 indicators. These indicators are intended to aid in surveillance, prioritization, and evaluation of public health interventions.
