- Experience in urban maternal and child health
- Good listening skills
- The ability to ask important and challenging questions
- Attend one "Introduction to CityLeaders Mentoring" 90-minute conference call in late August/early September 2008
- Devote time to a preconference workshop with identified CityLeaders in conjunction with the CityMatCH Conference (Saturday, September 20, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM) in Albuquerque, NM.
- Devote time to mentor a designated CityLeaders, including:
- At least one 30-60 minute conference call per month throughout the program (6 months: October 2008 - March 2009)
- Share lessons learned in urban MCH leadership
- Complete all evaluations of CityLeaders activities
- Increased individual knowledge in selected domains of urban MCH leadership, including mentorship
- Waived fee for one (1) of three preconference workshops at the Annual CityMatCH Conference (Saturday, September 20, 2008, 1:00 - 5:00 PM) Albuquerque, NM.
- Access to newly available leadership resources
- Opportunity for intergenerational transfer of ideas with emerging and mid-level urban MCH leaders
- Opportunity to provide tailored mentoring to emerging and mid-level urban MCH leader
NOTE: The CityLeaders Program is NOT able to provide a stipend to cover travel or registration fees for the CityMatCH conference.
