Given the importance and popularity of the Internet in youth culture, local health departments and other youth-serving organizations have many exciting opportunities to reach youth using technology. The goal of this webcast is to highlight innovative ways organizations are reaching youth with health messages. This webcast will provide an overview of social media tools and highlight examples from several youth-led and youth-inspired initiatives. Participants will learn about the changing face of health education and how local health departments can use social networking sites such as YouTube, Facebook, and MySpace to connect with youth.
