The August installment of the Emerging Issues in Maternal and Child Health (E-MCH) Series is Childhood Trauma and Health and Behavioral Outcomes: the Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) Study.
This webcast will educate participants about the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study, a scientific research study which analyzes the link between different categories of childhood trauma and the health and behavioral outcomes that may result later in life. As a result of this webcast, participants will:
1. Describe the ACE Study
2. Articulate the relationship between childhood trauma and health and behavioral outcomes later in life
3. Discuss how data derived from the study has been used by local health departments to inform and develop programs at the local level.
